ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca Police Department has released an update on the homicide that took place in Ithaca early Tuesday morning.
Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Alan Godfrey of the Ithaca area. IPD believes Godfrey was targeted in the homicide and it wasn’t a random act of violence. As a reminder, the incident took place in the 200 block of Taughannock Boulevard at approximately 12:43am.
The Ithaca Police Department is still working with the FBI, NYS Police, and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation. You are asked to contact the Police Dispatch at (607) 272-9973 with any information relating to the crime.
