BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek home, which has been the site of a double murder and multiple arsons, is set for demolition, according to a report from WWMT Tuesday.
Previously, the house located at 203 Post Avenue was the setting of a double homicide that took place last fall. 34-year-old Joseph Soule and 31-year-old Jaclyn Lepird were identified as the victims.
Their landlord, 53-year-old Chad Reed, later confessed to the murders and will go to trial.
Since that incident, the home has been the site of multiple arsons, with two of the most recent taking place early Tuesday morning. Some neighbors had said they wanted the house to be torn down because of the fires and ties to the murder case.
