Vaccine clinic on pause after Kitsap fails to receive additional doses from state

BREMERTON — The community vaccine clinic at the former St. Michael Medical Center in Bremerton did not receive any vaccine doses from the state Department of Health and will not reopen this week, Kitsap Public Health announced Friday. 
The clinic, established by Kitsap Public Health and the county’s Emergency Operations Center, opened Tuesday through Thursday last week and provided 2,000 doses to people eligible under the state’s guidelines. It marks the first government-run vaccination site in Kitsap County.
