Vestal Central School District to hold 1st Summer Enrichment Program
VESTAL (WBNG) -- The Vestal Central School District is holding its first-ever Summer Enrichment Program this week at Vestal High School.
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in various activities such as writing, art, cooking, team building and sewing.
After a year where many students were remote, teachers in the program said they hope the activities can help the students get used to being in a physical space with each other.
Vestal High School Counselor Roob Malvasio said the program is really about helping the students form relationships.
"It's great because when they come back to school some of them will be in a new building," he said. "They'll see a new face and they'll be comfortable at least that's what our goal is."
