They're reminding people to wear a lifejacket, have a reliable method of contacting shore and to tell someone what time they should be home at.
The RNLI, Coast Guard and Rescue Helicopter R117 were all called to incidents in Cork last weekend.
22 year old Conor King from Douglas also lost his life when he fell into a blowhole near Garrettstown Beach.
