The situation surrounding the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines has shown that Balkan countries have been abandoned by the EU and that the Balkan people should be cooperating and helping each other, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
As of Tuesday, Serbia has donated 10,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, intended for the Bosnian Federation, said Vučić, noting that it was up to the federal authorities to decide how they would be distributed.
Considering that there would be many negative comments on this donation, Vučić said that it was a matter of trust and the neighbouring countries relying on each other when no help had been provided by much more powerful countries.
