This morning were following breaking news out of louisiana where a gunman opened fire killing two people before turning the gun on himself. Nine others are injured, some critical. Nbc 10s randy russo is live in louisiana. A leid situation out here. Complete chaos the moment after the shooting broke out. This started during the 7 00 p. M. Shooting of the movie trainwreck. Were told the gunman was sitting in the front of the theater when he stood up no words, and started to fire, killing two people hitting 11 before shooting himself. Louisiana governor bobby jindal spoke about two teachers who were shot. Even after all of that both teachers were shot, not seriously shot. Seriously hurt rather. One of them was able to pull the fire alarm to try and get more help into the theater and alert all of the moviegoers that something serious was happening and they needed to get out of the theater. Were told that First Responders were outside the Movie Theater and were able to respond within seconds to try and get inside and get some of these people out. Again, as you mentioned, three people in all are dead including the gunman. We watched i was in the middle of doing an interview when we heard the detonation go off inside the gunmans car. Police were combing his vehicle to see if there were clues as to why he did this shooting and why he hurt so many people. As of right now, no information on that. We dont know the gunmans name as of yet. All we know is that hes a 58yearold man. Chris and tracy. We know hes 58 and had a criminal record but not recently involved in anything with police. Thats all authorities are telling us right now. Is that right . Thats right. They do know his name. Theyre also talking to friends and family members to try and get more information about him. But they did tell us theyre not telling us his name on purpose because of this Ongoing Investigation and to make sure any of their deputies investigating right now dont find themselves in any harm as they continue this investigation. So far, police have made no arrests but they tell us there is surveillance cameras in the area and theyll be looking at that video for clues. A man is in Critical Condition after someone shot him right in front of his house. Police say someone walk up to the vehicle late last night and opened fire. That shooter is still on the loose. In Wilmington Police are trying to answer questions about how a woman died at a popular play ground. Police rushed to camby park late yesterday morning after neighbors discovered her body. The dead woman was laying on the childrens slide. Neighbors tell us some of her clothing had been pulled down around her ankles. Several residents saw her sitting with a man on a bench.
