Some of the most controversial items include ending bicycles Medicaid Expansion and subsidies for private insurance. Instead states would get grants to pay for health care. Philadelphia is considered a major city with the highest poverty rate. Leaders say if the gops Health Care Bill passes, they will have to cut funding for the homeless. Project home, a local group which does homeless outreach, opposes the bill. The director of the office for Homeless Services says the Affordable Care act lets medicaid provide 8,000 homes for those who dont have one. She adds it has a 90 success rate in keeping people off the city streets. The mayor says the effects of the bill are far reaching in the city. Its going to impacts our hospitals terrible to impact our hospitals terribly. The Emergency Rooms theres no good to it. Someone opened fire on the car last night as it drove near 33rd and cecil b. Moore. The driver was shot and killed. A passenger was shot in the head. He is in critical but stable condition. Philadelphia police were in the process of evacuating sam shea on wednesday when they discovered the bombs.
