Now to breaking news that were following out of Chester County. A gunman is on the run after an alleyway shooting in the suburbs. Nbc10s matt delucia is live in phoenixville to fill us in. What are you learning . Reporter Phoenixville Police have been out here for a while. They packed up their stuff and got out of here a while ago. It was right here in this alleyway at bridge and main where all the activity was happening. A few hours ago, a witness tells us a gun was found in a Church Parking lot a few blocks away. Look at some video here. This is what the area looked like not too long ago. Crime scene investigators from Chester County were out here trying to gather as much evidence as they could. The shooting happened a little before 10 00 last night. Again, this is near bridge and main streets here in phoenixville. Police have not really been providing too many updates about the shooting. Were still working to confirm the condition of the victim. We know that person was taken to the hospital. Weve been talking with folks who live around here. One we spoke with said this was not a random crime. You hear about things, theyre isolated. And i would hope that its not a trend that would condition. In philadelphia, friends and family members of a murdered 16yearold boy held a vigil in germantown. Jai custed died of a gunshot wound. Theres a 20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Someone shot jai and three others including a 13yearold girl. A bullet grazed her hand. Loved ones and neighbors gathered also across the river to remember shawnique carter. Family and friends lit candles and offered prayers for the single mother found dead in a home in woodbury saturday. Authorities say carter died from a blow to the head. Police say she was house sitting for her sisterinlaw when she was killed. So far, no arrests in the case. A former Dover Air Force base airman pled guilty to sexually abusing a teen runaway. He faces up to 15 years in prison for the crime. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors say they will not oppose a lighter sentence. An airman from philadelphia still faces charges of sex trafficking of a child as part of the same case. The head of the u. S. Air force academy in Colorado Springs says cadets who cannot treat everyone with dignity and respect need to get out of his air force. The comments from Lieutenant General jay silve riria came dug a address yesterday. The air force retweeted the message a short time later. The general made the comments in response to racial slurs found on a message board at the air force prep school. This is our institution, and no one can take away our values.
