[ sirens ] [ gunfire ] this morning were also learning about the shooters girlfriend. Federal agents met Marilou Danley at l. A. X. Last night. This is exclusive video from nbc news of her in a wheelchair. Were working to find out why she needed the wheelchair. She is considered a person of interest in the massacre. Authorities are trying to figure out what she might know about the attack. Officials say she flew to the philippines last week at about the same time her boyfriend, stephen paddock, wired 100,000 to a bank in that country. Today, President Trump is expected to travel to las vegas to meet with First Responders and victims of the shooting. Another person died at the hospital yesterday. The death toll stands at 59 after the coroner adjusted his previous count. Also, authorities are learning more about paddocks plan of the attack. They say it was obviously premeditated. Matt delucia joins us live from along the vegas strip. Tell us what the scene looks like this morning. Reporter las vegas boulevard is starting to get back to what it is used to being, and that is a busy area in a busy strip. The mandalay bay is back open. Yesterday at 4 00 a. M. , this area was still shut down. You see the area where the concert was, that is still a crime scene. In the Center Median where people are gathered, people have been coming by constantly at a constant rate to leave candles, flowers, and messages, and talk with one another. Take a closer look at video we got a couple of minutes ago. Weve seen this just pouring of support from the residents and tourists. There have been several candlelight vigils the past couple of days with hundreds of people gathering to mourn or pray. And really just be together as one. This as a new piece of video was released by Las Vegas Metro police. Body cam video from some of the First Responders. Look at that. [ gunfire ] you see the frantic nature of what was going on as the bullets were coming down on the conce concertgoers late sunday. The concertgoers had trouble figuring out where the shots were coming from as they tried to get to safety. As we mentioned a moment ago, the president is expected to make his visit to las vegas later this morning, talking with First Responders and also some of the shooting victims, many of whom are still in the hospital. We have been hearing plenty of stories of heroism. People going above and beyond for one another. Well hear one of those stories coming up at 4 30. This morning were hearing from a Lehigh Valley man who was at the mandalay bay just two floors below the shooter when he opened fire. Ben sweeney of salisbury township says he doesnt need a tv to see what happened in vegas. He lived it. Sweeney was staying on the 30th floor sunday night. He says he was trying to sleep when a series of loud bangs woke him up. I was probably 30 feet away from this guy who was killing all these people, and all the shots i heard, you know, one in every three probably ended someones life. Its just i dont have words to describe it. Sweeney says he jumped in the bathtub for cover not knowing what was going on. This morning were learning more about a youth wrestling and Little League coach from central pennsylvania who was killed in the attack. Bill wolfe was in las vegas with his wife who is okay celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Wolfe lived in shippensburg. We talked with one of his teachers from high school. Going to impact this community. It already has dramatically. Hes very involved in youth sports and coaching. From all indications, everything ive heard, he was a very good coach. Very good with the kids. You just cant have enough people like that. Wolfe leaves behind his wife, as we said, and two sons. Tonight, a church in his hometown is holding a memorial for him. Meantime, prayer vigils have been taking place in las vegas. Last night people came together to remember the victims of the mass shooting. And pooeople in our area are remembering those killed in the attack. This was center city. Some people have connections to las vegas. Others have connections to other Mass Shootings including columbine and the pulse nightclub shooting in orlando. I felt like there was more i could have did for my cousin who was killed in the pulse nightclub shooting. Tiara was also shot in the pulse massacre and tells us the survivors in las vegas will have to deal with the guilt that she felt surviving her horrific experience. We have continuing coverage of the massacre in las vegas. At 4 30, we hear from families of the victims killed in the attack. Plus, the growing gun debate reignited by the shooting. Investigators in bucks county say what started as a theft investigation ended with a suspect leaving his toddler son to die in the middle of a road. This video shows the moments after police say Christopher Coon wrecked his jeep and left the scene. He paused one moment to look at his 2yearold son laying lifeless in the street. Police tried to save the boy. You can even see a Police Officer putting his hands on his head in disbelief. Police say the entire incident should have never ended this way, and witnesses cant believe what they saw. We had a simple retail theft where we had to he would have had to answer to charges, turned into a fatality. For this mother, i cant believe what shes got to feel. Investigators say this started when he stole more than 200 worth of items from a walmart in levittown. The jeep was not being chased at the time. Police charged him with thirddegree murder among several other charges. 4 07. In philadelphias logan neighborhood, a father and son are reunited after someone stole his car with the 8yearold boy inside. The boys father got out to check a property that he owns near broad street last night. A man riding a bike jumped in and drove away. Drove about a half mile before he got out and ran off. The father and son are fine. Get this someone else stole the bike the suspect was riding. October is Domestic Violence awareness month. Today delaware Governor Carney will officially recognize state efforts aimed at helping victims and preventing further abuse future abuse. Delaware officers, state and communitybased services has a 24hour help hotline. And in center city, members of women against abuse will join for a rallying cry against Domestic Violence. This is video of last years i pledge rally, celebrating its 10th rally. It calls on people across the city to help combat abuse. Nbc10s bill henley will serve as master of ceremonies. A chemical leak in south philadelphia is under control. Columbus boulevard south from snyder avenue to patterson will stay closed all morning. Cleanup will happen today at the ashland chemical plant. Heres why yesterday the Fire Department rushed to the scene when a tank started leaking an unknown chemical at the plant. Employees were evacuated as a precaution. No one was hurt. In montgomery county, police say a group of people were holding enough fentanyl to kill more than half the county. More than 300 doses were seized s seized. Officers say fighting it the drug epidemic means it begins on all levels beginning with treatment and education. Nbc10 spoke with a mother who recently lost her son to opioid abuse. She says the Current Treatment methods fail by sign. You need a minimum of 90 days to change a habit. And this 21day nonsense is like a drop in the bucket. Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than heroin. 4 09. A clear view looking across the delaware. Philadelphias clear. No sign of fog either in wilmington. These are two of the warm spots. Other areas, much cooler, in the 40s this morning. Those are the greatest risk for seeing fog development. Look at south jersey. 45. 50s in delaware. And philadelphia mainly in the 50s. There are a few places that are chillier. Andora just dropped in the last few minutes to 49 degrees. Contrast that with Port Richmond at 61 degrees. Temperatures are falling. Theres still time for fog to form. Weve got great visibility right now in hazleton, reading, its bluebell seeing light fog. Thats the one location. The rest of the region is fog free this morning at least for now. Theres still a possibility well see some fog forming as the temperatures are still cooling at this hour. Its clear, dry, and it is very light wind that is blowing this morning. Not much wind expected during the day which means were in for a nice, sunny day. Any fog will quickly disappear as the temperature climbs. 54 degrees forecast for philadelphia at 6 00 this morning. By 10 00, in the 60s. Then 74 degrees and climbing at 2 00. The normal high is 71. So by 2 00 in the afternoon, well already be above that. Look at the clear skies for the suburbs and for the Lehigh Valley. Both locations warming into the 70s this afternoon. And into the 50s to start with for delaware. Middle 60s by later this morning. Then lots of sunshine at 2 00. New jersey, youll see quite a warmup, too. 51 degrees to start with at 6 00. 75 degrees at 2 00. The temperatures will be getting close to the 80degree mark today. The humidity stays low. And i think just shy of it. The coolest spot will likely be the shore. The temperatures starting off in the 50s. Warm in the middle 60s by 10 00. And then into the 70s with lots of sunshine. She declined to help his friends in a medicare billing dispute during a 2012 meeting. The senators defense team says the meeting was about concern over National Policy problems and not menendez calling it a favor as prosecutors claim. And there it is at the jersey shore, too. The temperatures are still falling. Even those warmer neighborhoods in philadelphia and delaware are likely to fall. Look at the 40s. Washington township, piney hollow, voorheis, mt. Laurel, all on the cool side this morning. Down to 41 degrees in princeton. It could potentially drop into the 30s morning. We could see a little bit of fog forming with those cooler temperatures to start with. Most of the areas fog free. With the temperature warmup, thats going to take any fog out of the picture during the day. Look at the humidity level. The moisture level stays nice and low all day long. So well see a beautiful, warm autumn day, october day. But its going to feel a little bit like late summer with temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon. Really quiet and dry for our area. The nearest cold front really wont affect us until not today at all. Well see some of these clouds tomorrow. The best chance of showers is actually going to come over the weekend. For us today, that stays completely out of the picture. The forecast is calling for a nice warmup. Upper 70s for chestnut hill.
