Now to breaking news at the jersey shore where an allout search is underway for four juveniles who escaped from a Detention Center overnight. Reporter well, police told us the teens should be considered. Likely not armed but still dangerous. Heres what the Atlantic CountySheriffs Office told us a few minutes ago. Take a listen. More than likely theyll be cold. If they dont have a ride already, theyll be looking for some type of clothing. We dont know if theyll be able to break into a house. We have no idea. Were asking for caution. Reporter heres what we also learned early this morning. Four juveniles at the harborfields detention senility somehow overpowered the Corrections Officers there. They escape and stole the keys from one of the officers and stole the officers car. There was a chase, and the red car crashed into a building on the 900 block of bruger street in Egg Harbor City. K9 units have been searching the area all night. A state Police Helicopter has also been in the area, as well. Were told that will be back out again this morning. We also learned that now there are about 30 to 50 officers involved in the search. More are on the way. As for those teens who escaped, police cannot release names or photos because theyre juveniles. They can only release the descriptions. I tweeted the descriptions, and well retweet that to our Facebook Page so you can keep an eye out for the teens yourself. Thats what police want is for your help to attract these to track these people down. Also because of safety concerns, schools in the area are closesed. If you see anything, call police right away. A man ran from the scene. When police got there, they found police laying unresponsive shot three times and wearing a ski mask. Doctors later declared him dead. Police say the 26yearold lived in the neighborhood. New from overnight, three people in the hospital after this car flipped over in montgomery county. The car collided with two others on bethlehem pike in springfield around midnight. The three people were trapped inside the car. Reservation crews had to pull them out. They have severe injuries but are expected to survive. Saying farewell to a baseball icon. Authorities say someone shot devin smith in the head as he grabbed a drink at a bar at the restaurant in lawrenceville. The gunman then ran off. Close friends gathered at the applebees to light candles in honor of the young father who they called the life of the party. He was a great person, great friend, a great partner. They were always so happy and lively. Who could have done it to him. The mercer Prosecutors Office says they have several promising leads, but so far police have made no arrests. Lawyers for philadelphia Rapper Meek Mill say the judge who sentenced him to jail has no business ruling in his case. They fileded a motion demanding that she recuse herself. Judge Denise Brinkley sentenced meek mill to two to four years in prison for violating his probation. He failed to complete a drug test and traveled among violations. Mills lawyers say that brinkley has gone outside of her judicial boundaries several times over the years shes had the case. Mill supporters including celebrities and ms. His grandmother and his grandmother rallied in center city calling the punishment too harsh. Officers are searching for four juvenile inmates who escaped a Detention Center in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County. Yeah. The past five minutes, we have learned Galloway TownshipPublic Schools have been added to the list of schools closing today. Police say the teens attacked a guard at the harborfield Detention Center in Egg Harbor City. They stole a car and still got away. Matt delucia is live near the scene. A lot of concern for communities. Reporter right. The entire area, a onemile area around the Detention Center, police are searching the area, hoping to find the four teens. And this, of course, is having a Ripple Effect throughout the area. Schools are closed because of those safety concerns. Police are asking that if you live in this area of Egg Harbor City, especially around philadelphia avenue and bruger street, to stay inside unless you have to leave. I hear the helicopter circling, as well. K9 units have been here, as well, trying to pick up the scent of the four teens on the run. I asked police how dangerous are they. They say that they dont believe that these teens are armed, but they should be considered dangerous. And heres Something Else more than likely theyll be cold. So theyre either going if they dont have a ride already, theyll be looking for some type of clothing. So we dont know if theyre going to be able to try and break into a house. We have no idea. Police say a man stabbed and killed a woman. Officers responded to north 10th for a report of a woman screaming. They found the woman dead in the bedroom. It appears shed been struggling with the man. Police have him in custody. 6 35. A day before a philadelphia woman was scheduled to bring a new life into the world, she came close to losing her own. An angry neighbor is responsible. Tamera malone is expecting her third child. An angry neighbor shot her in the leg. It traveled through and hit the other, as well. Officers have documented disputes between the two the last two years. Another woman nearby says now she fears for the safety of her family. I have a 4yearold, and her safety comes first. Like i said, that scares me the most. The safety for my kid. So thats scary. Malone is in the hospital. She and her unborn child are expected to be okay. Her neighbor is in police custody. In new castle county, police say tracy . Someone is trying to steal information from children. Someone is making phone calls to Daycare Centers claiming that hes trying to identify a lost child. They say he tells workers he believes the child is under the facilitys care and tries to get personal care. Police are warning other daycares to be on the lookout. People say this man should if youve been in contact with him, you should be concerned. He should have been concerned about his patients health. Hes a dirty doctor. At least two patients claim the doctor fondled them during routine exams at his office in upper darby. The doctor turned himself in yesterday with lawyers by his side. Hes out on bail this morning. Police do believe there may be other victims. President trump is back in washington after his tour through asia. The president is going to deliver a major statement on trade and the trip later this week at the white house. President trump will be forced to face party panic over Sexual Misconduct accusations against gop Senate Candidate roy moore. The white house says moore should step aside if the allegations are true. Reporter for the first time, lisa thomaslaury told me the drug addiction current up without warning. We sat down in her home to talk about it. This thing came out of nowhere, erin. Reporter first it was the debilitating illness that took her off the anchor desk at the height of her career. Then it was the dependency on oxycontin that followed. Lisa thomaslaury, a fixture in the philadelphia news landscape since 1979, says she was an addict. Ten milligrams twice a day. Then up to 20 milligrams four times a day. Thats what happens. You know, you develop this dependency on it. And when you start trying to manage your own prescription medication. Its not good. I learned that after the fact. I tried to cut off a little, onethird of a pill just to make me feel a little more comfortable than the ten milligrams was. What i think i didnt realize was i was taking a little bit more, little bit more. Little bit more until when i missed those doses by even 20 minutes was very uncomfortable. Reporter in her book, lisa thomaslaury, on camera and off, she describes driving for a few hours with her husband and had forgotten her medication. Nothing settles you down. Theres nothing to calm you down or soothe you or i said, ibm, youre a doctor, can we stop at a hospital, can i get something to calm me . And no, i dont have a license here, lisa. Youre going to be fine. He grabbed my hand. And i would shove it away. I thought i might open that door and jump out. He put the kiddie locks on. I never want to feel that again.
