First alert weather. Were looking at a picture of our radar and satellite. The last couple of days have been soggy. Its been a gray picture. On and off sprinkles and showers. When we pull it out wider, thats where the rain is and its moving our direction. We see green, pockets of yellow and orange. Theres a chance for us to periodically see heavier rain. That will be particularly tonight into the early hours tomorrow. Those is showers are moving towards us as we speak. Later well have to deal with that. Well also have to deal with temperatures that are mild. Were starting in the 40s. 44 in philadelphia. 43 in coatsville. All allentown 42. This isnt a bad start to the morning. Temperatures are not going to climb a ton. Were talking around 10 degrees or so higher for our afternoon. High temperatures put us in the 50s later today. Patchy fog in the region. Were going to be tracking out when the powers pick up. On the next few hours we go to about 11 00 a. M. And spot showers start to move in. How long does it last . Well run through that if your future cast in just a few. Cf[p÷ well see you shortly. Overnight police are searching for a gunmen who shot two men in the logan neighborhood. It happened at broad and rockland street. Both victims are in stable condition. Nearly a week after a four alarm fire ripped through this historic building, we have more about plans to demolish the building. Were also learning businesses are struggling to reopen. Reporter city inspectors found this entire structure at risk of collapse so the decision was made to tear it down and the demolition will begin this coming week. Look behind me. Crews are going to salvage one piece of the structure. The first familiar facade will be kept as a piece of history. Businesses affected by the fire still remain shutdown. Next door at the little lion restaurant, owners said it could take months to reopen because of smoke and water damage. They havent even been back in yet. The overnight fire tore through the building. Pets were killed. Apartments and businesses destroyed. No injuries to any residents. The cause is under investigation. On the other side a restaurant says they hope to open in the next week. The street is shut down. Theres going to be a lot of Construction Equipment and for the time being theres a 24 hour Police Presence on this block of Chestnut Street. Nbc 10 news. Were learning new details about a tip to the fbi warning about the Florida School shooting suspect one month before the massacre happened. A transcript of a womans call to the bureau revealed she was worried he might be getting into a school and just shooting up the place. She also told the fbi cruz has an arsenal of ammunition and weapons and was going to explode. Cruz is now charged with killing 17 people inside a high school in parkland, florida last week. In the wake of that parkland shooting, floridas governor is proposing changes to make florida safer. He wants to prohibit anyone under 21 and people with Mental Illness from owning a gun. Reaction to an announcement is mixed at gun stock shops in wilmington the owner believes the ban is not the answer of the problem of mass shootings. This is his message to the governor. Sit down, relax, lets see if theres any other kind of resource. Reporter and dont ban the sale of these types of guns . I dont think a ban is going to do everything. Reporter that mother tells us the governors proposal is a start. Kearny promises to work with state lawmakers in delaware over the next few weeks to create a bill for the ban. This man crept up behind the 13yearold and grabbed her inappropriately. The incident happened as the girl was shopping with her mother at the target on wednesday night. Police in New Castle County are asking for your help to track down a man wanted for exposing himself for two girls. This is a sketch. Hopefully its a new beginning. Reporter this month Show Boat Hotel owner bart making more waves by taking a preliminary step toward getting a casino license for the former gaming hall. He tells me hes exploring his options. But at least one casino expert believes bringing gambling back to show boat would be a bad bet for ac. The capacity of the town at that point would be way too much. It would be a detriment tall effect to the existing casino. Reporter hes confidence show boat will benefit from the location between the hard rock and ocean resort. He said his company is spending millions of dollars on improvements at the property. Reinvestment is the key. And Atlantic City suffered from a lack of reinvestment along the boardwalk. Thats changing now.
