PUTRAJAYA: The LRT Kelana Jaya line operator, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, must submit a full report within 21 days over an incident where a door of the LRT carriage remained open while the train was moving, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The Transport Minister said early findings of the 3pm incident on Monday showed that it was due to a door close confirmation unit (DCCU) that failed to operate normally.
“The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has directed Rapid Rail to carry out a detailed investigation and submit Train 44’s maintenance reports prior to the incident.
“Rapid Rail was also instructed to undertake short- and long-term measures to ensure such an incident does not recur,” he said in a statement.
