Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean the rain will subside, as intermittent showers are expected “cannot be ruled out”, according to the outlook from BBC South Today weather.
The Met Office said: “Sunny spells on Tuesday, with some showers, heavier in the east. Dry with many sunny spells on Wednesday.
“Low cloud and drizzle on Thursday morning, clearing to sunny spells later.”
Most of us will wake up to variable club on Tuesday, with a few showers.
In the afternoon, although there may be the odd lingering shower, sunshine will return.
Wednesday will see a ridge of high pressure moving in, bringing some settled conditions which will last into Thursday, along with variable cloud.
