Well-respected Kaikōura man died after three-car crash in Christchurch

“He always had the time for a yarn, he was a top man.”
The 86-year-old was driving along the Christchurch Northern Motorway with his wife on May 11 when he suffered a heart attack and was involved in a three-car crash. His wife survived with broken ribs and was taken to hospital.

A person has died after a multi-car crash at the merge section of the Christchurch Northern Motorway near Belfast.
The pair had been on their way home to Kaikōura after visiting Christchurch.
Seddon was born in Hamilton in 1935 but spent most of his later life south of Kaikōura where he bought a farm in 1963, naming it Acacia Downs.
