The first teaser for
Cyberpunk 2077 dropped during the CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference on May 30, 2012. The final title hadn’t been revealed at this point, and it was just described as “a new triple-A game based on the cult classic Cyberpunk pen & paper RPG system.” Pre-production started around this time, with around 50 people being assigned to establish the foundation for the game.
