MADISON, Wis. — WISC-TV is being honored with an Edward R. Murrow award for Overall Excellence for the second year in a row by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
“We’re proud to win the award for Overall Excellence for the second straight year,” said WISC-TV News Director Sarah Gray. “This specific award takes everything we do into consideration: breaking news, continuing coverage, feature storytelling, digital coverage and newscasts.”
WISC-TV’s entry covered multiple major news events in 2020, including coronavirus coverage, unrest over social justice and police brutality, how parents and schools tried to navigate a year of learning virtually, election coverage and more.
