Women fund managers struggle to see their tribe grow. Can fund houses help?

A significantly large section of fund managers come from the brokerage industry where research analysts rise in the ranks to directly manage funds. But the brokerage industry has largely been a male bastion. Increasingly, fund houses are realising that it's best to recruit women directly at trainee levels and groom them for higher responsibilities.
