World's first hybrid CXL device combines flash memory and DRAM — storage tiering comes to remote memory over PCIe

Samsung has announced a new CXL add-in card that is designed specifically for hypervisors. The card expands its host machine's memory capacity, enabling customers to expand system memory outside of DDR5 memory.
