Were not being affected by that right now. Looking outside live, its spilling clouds into the region as you look at this live shot from center city with our Temple University camera. You can kind of see that we had some cloud cover but theyre mostly high thin clouds, a day very much like yesterday where you still see the sunshine filtering through them as the day progresses here. Look at these numbers, though. The big story in the weather is just how warm it is today. 72 degrees in philadelphia. Our average high is 74. Were already at 72. Were sitting at 74 in millville. 68 in trenton. 67 in reading. Hey, if youre out for a run earlier, you want to get it as early as possible because its going to be a hot and sticky day today. By 6 00 a. M. , 71 and 8 00 a. M. , 72. By 10 00 a. M. , youre in the upper 70s and you can see it there, even by 11 oclock, youre hitting 80 degrees. Going for a run, go early cause the other thing is its going to feel so sticky. Look at these latest dewpoints. Were into the 70s south of the city. Once you get that, it feels oppressive. 67 in philadelphia isnt feeling great either, certainly feeling humid. I always get a little worried when it looks like those runners are about to run into you. They could cause im slow. Traffic now running a little bit more smoothly, karen, here along the schuylkill expressway because these guys are packing up and heading out. They just reopened the westbound right lane headed toward king of prussia along the schuylkill expressway. You can see the traffic still moving mostly in the left lane but well be able to move in the right lane here momentarily so better news there on the schuylkill expressway. They also cleared from the westbound lanes around 30th street station. Had it closed overnight. Its reopened now so you can move there again. It will close tonight starting at 11 oclock. Meanwhile were still watching that crash in Lower Gwynedd by the Hunt Club Apartments this morning. Its along welsh road. That of course is 63 at hunt club trail. And outside live its camera time here in bucks county. This is i95 right by route one. Overnight construction here in the northbound lanes is gone so both lanes opened in both directions. Route one also moving fine at this point. And on 95 in delaware, we had a bunch of overnight zones, they were all scheduled to clear at 5 30. Youre back in business on 95, 495 and 295. A teen is dead and three young people recovering from a shootout in germantown. The crime scene stretches across an entire city block. Lets get right to action News ReporterJeanette Reyes live at Einstein Medical Center where the survivors, jeanette, are being treated. Reporter matt the youngest victim she survived, shes 11 years old. The 16yearold boy who died was unresponsive already at the scene and was later pronounced dead here at the hospital. Meanwhile, police have tons of evidence to process but at this point not much on the suspects. This deadly shootout happened on the 100 block of east pastorius street in germantown. Police got a call about a shooting and arrived to find multiple young gunshot victims. The first was a 16yearold boy shot in his back. He was unresponsive when he was transported to Einstein Medical Center. Minutes later, he was pronounced dead. The second victim was an 11yearold girl, grazed by a bullet. She is in stable condition. An 18yearold man shot once in the torso and a 19yearold shot multiple times in his leg and stomach. He is in critical condition. No arrests have been made but homicide and crime scene personnel have a whole street block worth of evidence to process. The crime scene does stretch a whole city block. However, we have multiple shell casings on one side of the block and several shell casings on the other side of the block so it appears this may have been a shootout between at least two people or two groups of people. Reporter and add to go all the evidence is a home two of the victims ran into. Police are waiting to obtain a search warrant to search that home. In the meantime no suspect description none motive. Breaking news here adeadly shooting just took place in the fishtown section of philadelphia. Police now on the scene say the 35yearold victim wall shot in the hallway of an Apartment Building on the 1000 block of east montgomery avenue. The fatal gunshot was fired into his head. Investigators say the shooter remained at the scene and was taken into police custody. No information yet on a motive. A young womans murder is under investigation in Gloucester County, new jersey. Police say 26yearold Shawneeq Carter was that found dead inside a home on the unit block of hopkins street in woodbury. An autopsy revealed carter died from blunt force trauma. Her father says carter had been house sitting at the time with her fiveyearold son and it was the little boy who walked to get help. He was like i want i want to talk to my mom. I want my mom, my mom and what do i tell my fiveyearold grandson . I dont have the answers. It is not immediately clear if there was any sign of forced entry or if the 26yearold knew her killer. Its been one week since Hurricane Maria tour through puerto rico killing at least 16 people. The governor of the island says it is in the vise grip of an unprecedented. Half the population does not have access to clean water and Communication Systems are down. The pentagon plans to greatly increase its military presence and President Trump has agreed to boost federal disaster assistance. He says he plans to visit next tuesday after growing criticism ofly what some say has been his muted response to the devastation. Good morning, katherine. Good morning, tam. This Morning American Airlines flight to san juan takes off a little after 8 oclock this morning. Weve started to see passengers come here to check in at terminal a west here at Philadelphia International airport. Of course, its light right now. But we did just see a group come through and month are to come. The fair for the main cabin was capped at 99 for this flight. This is americans second flight from phl to san juan since maria hit. The first went last friday with mainly humanitarian relief. On todays flight theres going to be regular passengers on board as well as people heading to aid in the relief effort. There will also be 91,000 pounds of cargo which includes relief items. Among the passengers will be eight Staff Members from the Salvation Army who are on their way here, or will be soon from their headquarters. Mayor kenney and councilwoman Maria Quinones sanchez helped them secure flights on the seat puerto rico. The island is trying to pick up the pieces after being ravaged by maria. The Salvation Army has 150 staffers home based in puerto rico. Since maria they have been feeding an estimated 14,000 people a day and providing shelter. Getting supplies to the island is a major issue right now as damage to roads and other infrastructure including airports. There will be supplies on this plane today but the Salvation Army says the best and fastest way to help is donating money. Its the easiest way to address critical needs. The help is needed in the form of monetary donations right now. And its the best thing that we can hope for and ask for and if people would would be inclined just to go to the Salvation Armys web site and help us. We need we need monetary gifts to be able to respond in a split second. Its going to be on one of their largest planes an airbus 3300. It hold about 258 passengers and 12 crew members. Heres the satellite image where you can really see how maria, which is now a Tropical Storm is sitting and spinning off the coast of Cape Hatteras and its going to continue to pull away from the coast from the North Carolina coast today and tonight and one of the reasons why is that cold front can its going to be moving through the area. See the clouds and the rain associated with it out to the west . When that comes through its going to help to swipe maria out of here and make a real change in the forecast. And you can see this right now. Winds still at 70 Miles Per Hour its a pretty big storm and its moving so slowly, only 5 miles an hour but its going to accelerate when it takes that right turn and moves to the east because of that front coming through. So, because of that, our impacts with Tropical Storm maria are pretty minimal. What were seeing is a continued high risk of rip currents so be careful if youre down there on the jersey or delaware beaches today. Im going to show you what its going to feel like later today. Later in the afternoon its going to feel like its in the 90s. This is at 4 oclock. Future tracker showing 91 will be the feellike temperature there in the city, 90 in allentown, glean 89 in reading. But starting on monday, so in just a few days, theyre going to be closing the first avenue ramp to 422 eastbound. We just got word of this the other day. The good news with that closure is that it will only last a week so that one is much shorter than the earlier one we had on the 23 ramp. Other way on 422 westbound theres midday work today and tomorrow at around pottstown between keim street and 100. Youll see a lane out of commission from 9 00 until 3 00. You might find delays there at that point. In Lower Gwynedd crash at 63 by hunt club trail. No issues if youre traveling 611 down through willow grove toward the pennsylvania turnpike. We had a bunch of overnight truck scale, there was some eastbound between morgantown and downingtown now gone. The westbound zone between willow grove and Fort Washington also gone. And the work in bucks county on the del val ramps also gone. So, all your turnpike construction has cleared. The city of philadelphia is investigating alleged mistreatment of carriage horses. The Philadelphia Carriage Company received a final notice and intent to cease operations from animal care and control team last month.
