I think everyone could use a little good news. Its nice that weve been talking about sunshine. We are. Its going to be nice and it gets warmer, too, as we go through the rest of the week. In fact, the whole month of october is looking probably above average for the most part. As we take a look at satellite very similar to what we showed you yesterday. Weve got some fog cover on the other side of ottawa and toronto. Cold front back to the north and west. Ahead of it were still looking nice and sunny today. At least a little bit later on this morning. Cool to start out once again. 47 degrees in allentown and reading. 48 in trenton, 53 in philadelphia, 50 in wilmington and 58 in cape may. And as we roll through the day, it looks sunny and it also looks mild later this afternoon. By noon well be at 69 degrees. That will be pretty comfortable for lunch on a park bench. 75 degrees is your high at 3 oclock and then 73 at 5 oclock before we dip back down into the 60s in the evening hours. If youre dressing the kids for the bus stop like yesterday a jacket is a good idea. Some suburbs will be under the sun in a little while but just 46 degrees at sunrise and 54 as youre waiting for the bus in philadelphia. Karen rogers, it gets even warmer as we go later into the week. The weekend now is looking a little toastier, too. Those details coming up. All right, dave, lets hit the roads right now. Were looking live at the vine street expressway which was shut down overnight for construction but we can see westbound, eastbound moving just fine. They were scheduled to close the vine down each night this week and theyve changed that schedule. Its going the remain opened the rest of the week. They had scheduled to close the schuylkill and the vine down at the same time and i think afterwards they thought that may not be the best idea. The schuylkill westbound construction has all cleared and things are going to look better for you the rest of the week, though, it will be shut down on the schuylkill westbound at 30th street. Pennsylvania conference for women weve been talking a lot about that. Doors open at 6 30 this morning so youll see some early congestion there at the Convention Center and with mass transit as well. 95 between 413 and route one in Bristol Township in bucks county we had some overnight construction causing some restrictions but it has cleared and traffic here is moving a lot better. As we take a look outside we have clear skies over center city and expecting a repeat of yesterday with a good deal of sunshine across the region. And even though were starting out cool, well wind up milder. 53 degrees right now on the bus stop in philadelphia, though, and in allentown and reading, were at 47 degrees. 48 currently in trenton. 50 in wilmington. 44 in millville and 58 in cape may. At the airport in Atlantic City weve slipped all the way to 45 degrees. Remember, weve got clear skies and light winds and longer overnight periods and that combination does make for a drop in temperatures. Lots of sunshine, though, on our highways and byways later on this morning with cloud cover well off over canada and Northern Michigan and so youll need your shades again today. Up in allentown look for lots of sun, pleasant conditions and a similar high to yesterday, 75 degrees. Down the shore were not worried about rip currents anymore. Mostly sunny, a big cooler on the beach today, though, a high of 70 in Atlantic City, some spots farther south might hold in the upper 60s today and its upper 60s in the ocean water as well. Arent and lots of sun in philadelphia this afternoon, pleasant condition, high getting up to 75 degrees and the winds southsoutheast at six to 12 miles per hour, not all that strong. Overnight mainly clear and chilly, 46 in some suburbs and 54 in center city. So, tomorrow morning like this morning well start out very chilly and pretty much similar numbers and then winds fairly light overnight. Tomorrow with a frontal boundary getting a little bit closer to us, well turn the flow from the south and get up to 78 degrees. It will be a little bit warmer because of that southwesterly flow. It does look like that front is going to be slow to approach, though, so well get a chance to get up to the 80s for a couple of days ahead of it and maybe even as its pulling away still in the 80s. And the october outlook from the Climate Prediction Center by the way also has a chance of above average temperatures throughout the northeast and were kind of in the bulls eye of that so look for more warm weather over the next couple of weeks and maybe beyond. Your exclusive accuweather 7day, sunny and pleasant today, 75 degrees. Sunny and warm on wednesday, 78 and then on thursday, partly sunny with that front closer to us but still amazingly nice high of 84 degrees, at least those of you who are trying to hold onto summer, its going to feel like it for a few hours in the afternoon. Then clouds and sun on friday, a high of 80 and friday there may be a shower with that that front coming through. Some of those showers could last into saturday morning. The best chance of rain right now looks to be north and west of philadelphia. Then we get into saturday afternoon and were looking pretty good. Warm, breezy, 82. Another 82 on sunday and it might even feel a bit humid on sunday for the eagles game. Another shower might pop up here or there as well. And then cloudy with rain possible for columbus day.
