Coach to rally the troops, you know, now might be the time. Theres still a lot to play for and thats whats exciting about the rest of this season. Were still playing for that opportunity to hopefully be in that game and nick has played a ton of football and you never want it to be under these circumstances but at the same time, you know, my confidence is extremely high in nick. Reporter yeah, its that time of year so bring on saint nick. Lets not forget hes done this before. The last time the eagles played the playoffs in 2015 it was nick foles who led them there. He had 27 touchdowns to just two interceptions that season. As for carson wentz a rehab for a torn acl is six to nine months. The preseason begins about eight months from now for 2018. Lets hope hes healed by then. It will be tight. Live from the novacare complex jaime apody. Chad pradelli has been talking to local fans. Hes live at the linc. Chad, this is a really tough development in what has been a story book season. Reporter brian, this injury was a dagger for many fans. I felt like throwing up. This is the year im excited and i see that and my heart is broken. While some fans have written off the birds and the lombardi trophy others are confident nick foles can get it done. Hes won before, made the pro bowl and now needs to guide the ship where its been going. Super bowl in minnesota. I think he can kind of lead us to championship. I believe that what needs to happen is we need an offensive line and we got to go back to the playbook and make sure that pocket holds up for foles. Hes done but you know its not all about him, its about the team and so i am a huge carson wentz fan but im an eagles fan and i still believe in the whole squad. Reporter so, still some belief. There are fans calling for the running game to get going and this defense to play strong down the stretch. Im live in south philadelphia, chad pradelli channel6 action news. Thank you, chad. Lets head to action news and the meteorologist adam joseph at the big board. It starts chilly, just wait until midweek because an arctic blast will be coming in with low pressure just south of the great lakes. On storm tracker6 live double scan the low is south of chicago and this low is going to pass to our west in the eastern great lakes as we go through the day tomorrow and thats going to move at first a southerly north wind in. 42 degrees, yes, chilly out there in philadelphia, 20s in binghamton but if you see to the south you do see some 40s and even low 50s. That mild air will puncture to the north and then the cold will be spilling in. In fact you can see on the northwestern side of that system timmons at five right now, sudden bury 3 degrees, thunder bay at 16. These are not wind chills, these are air temperatures. And in fact as we look at that accuweather forecast the winds will howl. We could see gusts near 50 miles an hour late tuesday night into the day on wednesday. That ushers in that arctic air and then highs only settle in the low 30s as we get into wednesday and later on in the week and even a chance for some snow showers as well thursday and again on friday. Health check at 4 00 new study says kids are still being hurt and actually killed in window blinds. Despite voluntary safety efforts. Manufacturers have known since the 19 40s children can easily get tangled up in window blind cords and even strangled. Some Companies Like target and ikea no longer sell blinds with cords and walmart will stop selling them by next year. But the 26 year study shows an average of two children are treated every day and one a month is killed by window blinds. What we need now is for manufacturers to simply eliminate accessible cords in their products so that children cant gain access to them. Thats the solution. Ive had a lot of those little beads. Good, good. Good afternoon once again monica. Our roads are sprinkled with problems this afternoon but i think the biggest this afternoon is in south jersey its an overturned truck in the southbound lanes of route 55 just south of route 322. Really busy interchange there in Harrison Township and its just south of there where the truck flipped over. Its taking out the left lane so thats why were seeing those speeds like 7 Miles Per Hour as you come south away from deptford. A long line of really slow moving traffic. In the backlog there was a second accident in sewell. That one cleared out but still you want to avoid the southbound side of 55. Use 47 delsea drive, even 45 or the new jersey turnpike, 295. So many options. Just not 55 as you head home this afternoon. Were getting ready for an opening here at the taconypalmyra bridge. Actually i think they may have just wrapped up because there goes the Police Officer allowing traffic to now move across the bridge so its going to be jammed on both sides along 73 but were back in business as of right now at the taconypalmyra bridge. A crash on 130 at the alcohol wood circle. Its off to the side now but busy there and weve been watching a crash on the mlk west river drive. Lets look at it live if you can see through the trees there it is near the Strawberry Mansion bridge and montgomery drive. All the outbound traffic on some. Lk is forced here onto montgomery to get to the schuylkill. Bottom line stay on the kelly drive instead. A vehicle fire along stenton avenue at mermaid lane. Steer clear of that too. Well check it again brian and monica in the 5 oclock hour. All right my friend. See you then. Thank you. Meteorologist adam Joseph Standing by with the exclusive accuweather 7day forecast next. Upper 30s for lancaster, reading, 42 in philadelphia. Same for millville. 44 degrees in dover. And as we look at the day planner here for our tuesday, there may be a tiny bit of sun but really those clouds dominating the skies. There could be a quick shower Northern Areas in the morning and then a quick shower in the afternoon as a cold front comes through but ahead of it its warm. Up near 47 by 2 oclock but then as the winds pick up, the temperatures drop late in the day and in fact, by 8 oclock tomorrow evening, already down to 33 degrees and that does not include the wind chill. Satellite and radar you see the spin just to the north and west of chicago. Thats low pressure. Thats separating some arctic air to the north, some mild air down to the south. So as this continues to pinwheel its way across our region, those clouds will be increasing again tonight and temperatures warm a after midnight. Well fall to about 29, 33 degrees 10, 11, 12 oclock tonight and then those temperatures will start to inch back upward with that southwesterly wind ahead of the cold front and in fact tomorrow morning 8 00 a. M. It is cloudy for the morning rush and drive for most of us. Again, there could be a rain shower lehigh valley, berks county, lancaster, maybe a snow shower north of the lehigh tunnel and then as we get into the afternoon tomorrow, 47 degrees with that cold front arriving here maybe a couple showers in the afternoon. Then those winds start to crank up behind that system and it is bitter here on wednesday, winds 45, 50 miles an hour, a high of 32. Well keep wind chills in the teens for the peak of the day in the afternoon with some of that sunshine and then a clipper system comes on its heels thursday morning to bring us some snow showers that could create some slick spots for the morning rush on thursday. The exclusive accuweather 7day forecast, mild, a shower 47 tomorrow. Hanukkah begins at sundown and then its windy cold on wednesday 32 degrees and as we take a look at a snapshot future tracker 7 oclock thursday morning for that rush you can see those snow showers around and because the temps will be so cold every flake would stick and that could create some trouble here thursday morning. Not a lot of snow but the timing is bad and then more snow showers with another system on friday, 34 degrees. Weekend we go back into the 40s, it turns milder on sunday into monday with another chance of rain or snow then a week from now, so first the bitter cold then watch for a round of snow showers where every flake would stick.
