Reporter it was months ago tacony native james petrivis signed up to be one of the thousands crew 52 blue coat volunteers work the super bowl. He lives here now but little did this diehard eagles fan know his team would be here. Whats this like, man . Its amazing to be a part of the super bowl and have my Hometown Team that i grew uprooting for right here in my backyard now. Reporter his volunteer duties include being a city ambassador and working the bold north zipline across the mississippi river. But its always allowed him to meet gm Howie Roseman even got into opening night. I had to talk a little bit with brian dawkins, weapon x, ran into meryl reece, howard eskin. If they were in every other super bowl after this would it not be like this experience. Reporter he uppeds after the vikings loss hes in enemy territory. Our Dave Schratwieser has what police will be greasing up those poles with and joyce us live in south philadelphia. Dave . Reporter iain, this has been hot topic for two weeks ever since police put crisco oil on these poles trying to keep fans from climbing up them after the nfc championship game. We all know that didnt work. This time around police have a pretty slick idea. Its very heavy thick oil. Reporter guys over at evans gulf on Spring Garden street know all about gear oil they use a lot of it at the garage and theyre not big fans of it. Its thick. You can get it off your clothes. It smells and its really tough to clean up. Reporter Sources Say Police plan to use a form of gear oil instead of crisco oil to greece poles along broad street and up in the northeast for sunday nights expected big eagles celebration. Dont climb up the poles. Reporter tom flores says fans should be aware if youre planning on wearing your favorite birds jersey and scaling up a pole with the stuff on it. One man ended up hit in the legs and chest and he later died at a hospital. Police say he also had a gun. The chaos ended the basketball game and forced that school into lock down. Athletic director came running in and told everybody get down, and get off the court, and we d we just everybody hid for cover. I think its disgusting. Adults coming to school, to a kids game, with weapons. Police have not yet made any arrests. Prowlers in parking lots are creating quite the scare in upper darby.
