What police found in their radnor home has left the community in shock. Our dawn timmeney joins us thirty five radnor. Dawn . Reporter lucy, police found the bodies of two people and they had been there for some time. Both shot to death. Neighbors are absolutely stunned and deeply saddened. She wasnt answering my texts. Were friends. We hang out, and um, just not hearing back from her. Thats not like her. Reporter ebony says the male was also piling up at her friends adjoining twin on the 200 block of highland avenue in wayne. The cars hadnt been moved in at least a week. And there was a terrible smell seeping into her home. So i just new something was wrong. Reporter ebony had no idea how wrong things were when she called Radnor Township Police at 10 00 oclock last night. Responding officers found the bodies of a man in his 20s and a middleaged woman in the living room dead from an apparent murder suicide. Police say it appears the man shot the woman repeatedly and then killed himself. There were weapons recovered. There was a handgun and there was rivals as well. Reporter this is an extremely closeit in neighborhood. Iris ashley has known the woman her whole life and says the young man was a good kid and went to school with her children. This is a shock. They also say there were a dog, there was a dog an cat inside the home the entire time they were rescued and taken to local vet where they are currently being treated. Investigators are looking into a deadly fastmoving fire in north philadelphia. It killed two people with a flames broking out on the first floor of a home on the 1300 block of toronto street around midnight. Firefighters got it under control in about half hour but found one person dead inside the home. Paramedic rushed another to the hospital where that person died a short time later. Neighbors tell us the victims were brother and sister. A first in the state of delaware. Terrible first. A former Catholic Priest faces charges of raping a child. Fox 29s jeff cole is in bellefont, delaware, with the twier 25yearold case involving the now 76yearold priest. Reporter former delaware priest john sarrow has made history tonight history nobody would want. Hes the first priest in this state to be charged with sexual abuse of a minor despite a flood of earlier claims. The big stone church known as saint helen dominates the neighborhood in the dine knee Delaware Community bellefont. Mass is heard daily here and social events are held. But tonight there is sorrow even anger over john sarrow. Any time you mess way minor, man, you get what you deserve. You know hes an animal as far as im concerned. Reporter sorrow was a priest at saint helena in the 1990s according to a New Castle County grand jury indictment. He had sexual intercourse with a girl under 16 in the early 90 90s. While serving at the parish hes also charged with touching the teenagers breasts. Despite a long history of sexual abuse claims made against priests here, he is the first to be criminally charged. They should be charged and then they should pay the consequences that go were, um, that type of act. Reporter sarrow was first named as sex abuser of minors in 2006 when Bishop Michael sal at a rollly of the wilmington dye disease published release the names of 20 credibly accused of priests. A wave of claims by victims followed driving the diocese into bankruptcy and force it to go pay a stunning 74 million to victims. A spokesperson for the diocese declined to comment but in a statement it said sarros alleged victim came to them in 2011 to report her abuse. The Diocese Claims it urged her to go to law enforcement. The diocese writes, it admires survivors of clergy sexual abuse who courageously come forward and report the abuse to civil authorities. Sarro is 76 and leaving in a facility fort elderly on the churchs dime. The pain never goes away. I mean, that victim still remembers and i know the priest remembers as well. He was waiting for this day. This day has come. Reporter the diocese of wilmington says it immediately pulled sarro from the priesthood back in 1997 when the first allegations arose. A jury has found the man charged in with ambushing and shooting a Philadelphia Police officer guilty on all charges. Prosecutors say 32yearold Edward Archer opened fire on officer Jesse Hartnett shooting him thee times at close range. It happened in 2016 at 60th and spruce streets. Those images playing throughout the philadelphia area. Hartnett survived. Prosecutors charge archer with attend murder and aggravated assault. He said he was doing it in the name of isis. Their deaths resulted in the walk out of 1300 fellow black sanitation workers over poor working conditions. And their strike shined the life on civil rights and brought dr. Reporter taking a few minutes to get passed stereotypes revealed more than most probably assumed when they saw a man living in his car in the Pottstown Walmart parking lot. He was laid off and couldnt pay his rent any more. He ren add home in pottstown. He unfortunately was evicted and he took what he could out of his place and slept in his truck one night and never got out. Reporter stephanie knew his story. The fact that he was in a broken down car with no heat on the coldest days of the year that didnt sit when he will with her. It was around midnight. I just couldnt sleep. It was snowing. I went up and tapped on his window. He was covered under a bunch of blankets. Im just trying to stay warm. I said okay. Listen, i said, ed, i said, im going to come back here tomorrow, and youre going to go to a hotel. Reporter and thats how the Facebook Page and gofundme account help ed stay in warm bed was born. The first couple of weeks of eds hotel stay were covered by stephanie and her family but it became a movement. Ed face add medical emergency and received donations and hospital visitors. He needed to move to nursing facility but wanted to be in pottstown so sanetoga center made room for him to keep him comfortable and close. Now because people cared, he had said about to get some permanent help. Hes going to be moving into his own apartment on march 1s march 1st. Stephanie helped ed apply for disability so he can now afford the small apartment they found and now they hope that together we can all help complete the journey to keeping ed out of that car. He has nothing. We furnish the whole apartment from a fork to a bed. Reporter ed is a proud man. I met him. He didnt want to be on camera but did he want to thank everyone who cared about ed as a person much more than just the walmart man. Reporter stephanie helped ed but this experience also helped her. That is the verdict tonight for the man charged with ambushing a Philadelphia Police officer. Prosecutors say 32yearold Edward Archer opened fire on officer Jesse Hartnett shooting him three times at close range. This happened in 2,016 at 60th and spruce streets. Hartnett did survive. Prosecutors have charged archer with attempted murder and aggravated assault. We caught up with officer hartnett after the verdict. Im more than satisfied with the results. Im very happy about it as much as im not expressing that right now. Im looking forward to sentencing and finding out how much time hes going to get. Trying my absolute best to get back something that was taken away from me and, um, its still i think its going to be quite a long road i dont think ill ever be a 100 hopefully some day ill get close to that.
