July.
Named for the late historian Herbert Roth, the
award is presented annually to the work published in the
previous calendar year that best depicts the history of work
and resistance in New Zealand.
The award was judged
this year by Cybèle Locke, Claire-Louise McCurdy, Grace
Millar, and Ross Webb

Ignite Wānaka Chamber of Commerce has appointed
its executive officer Naomi Lindsay to the role of general
manager as part of changes to the organisation’s
structure.
The board has approved an increase
in resourcing and support to deliver on its ambitious
events-led strategy and to expand its support for the Upper
Clutha business community.
The board has awarded a
contract of services for Ignite Wānaka to Lindsay, who has
held a contract with the Chamber as executive officer since
2015. During that time she has grown the membership from 120

and Susanne Wood who run Ski Time in Methven say they
received their first cancellation from booked Australian
guests, 19 minutes after the Prime Minister announced the
travel bubble would be closed from 1159pm tonight.

Time provides accommodation, one of the region’s leading

than an hour out of Christchurch.
Susanne says they
expect many more cancellations to come.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern needs to clarify just how
she measured the success of her Government’s Kahukura
Mongrel Mob rehab pilot, Leader of the Opposition Judith
Collins says.
“Labour have been quick to claim that
the pilot programme of the Mongrel Mob meth rehab programme
had a ‘100 per cent success rate’. Michael Wood, for
