The New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives of the Ada Constituency have petitioned President Akufo-Addo not to re-nominate Madam Serah Dugbakie Pobi as District Chief Executive(DCE).
The executive said she had always exhibited blatant disrespect for the party structure and constant expression of non-confidence and praticalization of such for the Constituency Executives.
The petition which was copied to the Greater Accra Regional Minister, the NPP regional chairman and the regional secretary, stated nine reasons why the President should reject the District Chief Executive Madam Serah Dugbakie Pobi s bid to become a DCE of the area again.
The Ada Constituency Chairman, NPP, Mr. Ofotsu Apronti, among some other party executives, penned their signatures to affirm their displeasure on what they termed abysmal performance of the DCE.

A group calling itself the Coalition of the Greater Accra Regional New Patriotic Party Voluntary Groups Leaders, has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to retain the former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Ishmael Ashitey, as the minister for the region.
This, the group, said was due to how Mr. Ashitey performed his ministerial functions and dedicated his time and resources for the peace and development in the region.
At a press conference organised by the group in Accra yesterday, January 20, the President for the Young Patriots, Nana Yaw Baah, gave some instances that due to his effort, the region enjoyed a peaceful atmosphere between 2017 and 2020 which led to the creation of nine municipal assembly’s to fast-track development and transformation of the entire region.

The government has indicated its readiness to support victims of the fire outbreak at the Kantamanto market in Accra last Tuesday night, so that they can restart their businesses.
The Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who was at the scene of the incident yesterday afternoon to assess the extent of damage and empathise with the traders, described the incident as tragic, sad and devastating.
He said he would meet with the leadership of the traders at his office next Friday to chart the way forward.
