CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - In the midst of the coronavirus crisis, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank is here to help with a drive-thru distribution.
The event is taking place rain or shine from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Muni Lot.
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank said it plans to distribute a combination of fresh produce and one box of shelf-stable food per family.

CLEVELAND, Ohio The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Goodwill of Greater Cleveland, and the YWCA of Greater Cleveland are receiving donations from MacKenzie Scott, ex-wife to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
Scott announced on Medium on Tuesday that she would donate nearly $4.2 billion to over 384 organizations. This came four months after she donated almost $1.7 billion to 116 organizations, including four historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in July.

CLEVELAND - Local food banks are struggling during the pandemic to keep up with the increased demand for emergency food.
On Dec. 15, donations to both the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank will be matched by private donors. Here s how to help:
To support the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, click here to make a donation, or call 216-535-2051 between 8:30 am and 5 pm. You may also mail a check to Greater Cleveland Food Bank, 15500 S. Waterloo Rd. Cleveland OH 44110.
To contribute to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, you may donate on their website. You also may make a contribution by dialing 330-535-6900 between 4:30 am and 6:30 pm.
