ASX:GAS) is pleased to announce that its first well in its new Rolleston-West Gas Project (ATP 2062) in Central Queensland has confirmed the existence of gas-bearing coal seams in the Bandanna coal measures within the Project area. This strengthens the Company s view that these coals will be developed synergistically with the Reid s Dome gas discoveries.
The Rougemont-1 well, spudded on 14 May, reached total target depth of 800 metres at 12.00pm on 23 May 2021. Core samples have been taken from the well, with 100% recovery. The well geology has been logged, and further testing is currently underway.

Vintage, Metgasco and Bridgeport are joint venture partners at the
Vali field, a new gas field in the early stages of development, located in the Queensland Cooper/Eromanga Basin. None of the parties currently produce or sell natural gas.
The ACCC’s authorisation enables the parties to jointly market gas produced from the Vali field for five years and, within this period, to enter into gas supply agreements with customers on common terms and conditions (including price) for terms of up to 15 years. Without authorisation, these joint marketing arrangements would risk breaching competition laws.
The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has congratulated Santos on being awarded an Authority to Prospect (ATP) in the gas-rich Bowen and Surat Basins.
QRC Chief Executive Ian Macfarlane said Resources Minister Scott Stewart’s announcement that Santos had been granted a domestic gas ATP was a win for the gas industry and for industrial and household consumers.
“As the peak representative for the State’s gas, coal and metal explorers and producers, the QRC supports the Queensland Government’s policy of only offering tenures which produce domestic gas,” he said.
“To date, the Government’s forward-looking domestic gas policy has released more than 20,000 square kilometres of land to help our manufacturing sector secure the gas it needs.
