They are being held in the Anderson City Jail.
Frank Rhoads, Dominick Rhoads and Flynn are charged with two counts of murder. Flynn faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The hearing was Saturday morning, with the defendants appearing by remote video and about 20 family or friends inside an Anderson city courtroom.
Tillison’s mother, who was in court, asked a cousin, Veronica Tillison, to read a prepared statement which said she wants justice for her son and that people don’t take action into their own hands in America. Hunter’s mother also spoke, asking why it happened and grieving over having to see her son in a casket.
Police: Man escapes through Anderson hospital ceiling, has been captured
A man in the custody of Anderson Police Department escaped Sunday morning and was captured hours later.
The Independent Mail is not identifying the man by name until it can obtain warrants that can help verify his name.
Captain Mike Aikens said the man was in custody for felony drug charges and was being treated at AnMed Health Medical Center.
The man took a shower around 9 a.m. and while the water was running, went out through ceiling tiles, Aikens said.
He was caught by Anderson County Sheriff s Office deputies around two hours later, Aikens said.

ANDERSON, S.C. (WYFF) - Officials with AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson recently accepted an infant surrendered under Danielâs Law, The Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act.
The baby girl was born on Feb. 20, 2021 and weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Under the Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, Anderson County DSS took custody of the child.
A permanency planning hearing will be held virtually on March 25 at 3 p.m.
