Jeremy Foote will speak about the La Plata County Historical Society and the Animas Museum at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Zoom.
Foote will focus on the history and mission of the society and its management of the museum. Also included will be some of the challenges small local museums and historical societies are facing during the ongoing pandemic.

Animas Museum will host the next Second Saturday Seminar at 1 p.m. Saturday on Zoom.
The seminar will be about Tom C. Graden of Graden’s Department Store and Graden’s Mill.
The webinar will be recorded for those who can’t attend live.
The cost is $5 and will benefit Animas Museum’s online programming.
All live attendees will receive a $10 gift certificate redeemable at El Moro Spirits and Tavern, which will have special cocktails to honor Graden.
