Ranchi: The All India Congress Committee (AICC)’s national relief task force on Thursday reviewed the ongoing Covid-19 mitigation works in Jharkhand via video conferencing.
Senior AICC members like Gulam Nabi Azad, Jairam Ramesh and Priyanka Gandhi, among others, were present at the meeting which was attended by all four Congress ministers in state cabinet.
Speaking to TOI, Congress’s spokesperson Alok Dubey said, “Our state president, Rameshwar Oraon, along with other party seniors, explained in detail the various relief works being undertaken in Jharkhand, both by the party and the government. Health minister Banna Gupta gave a detailed explanation of the efforts taken in the last one year to flatten the Covid wave. He also laid down the measures that government is taking in the event of a possible third wave of Covid-19.” He added that the central leadership was satisfied with the government’s work and gave a few ideas to the party to improve their work further.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 4 (ANI): Congress leaders in all districts of every state on Friday submitted a representation to their respective district collectors requesting a Universal Vaccination Drive and free vaccination for all, said All India Congress Committee (AICC) national spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju. Congress leaders across all districts of every state in the country have submitted a representation to their respective district collectors requesting a Universal Vaccination Drive, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, age and religion, Dr Dasoju told ANI.
He said the representations also requested free vaccination to all the people of this country.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh appeared before a three-member Congress panel here on Friday, reportedly formed by the party high command to sort out the problems in its state unit. The meeting lasted for more than three hours. The panel is headed by the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, and also comprises Congress Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat and former MP J.P. Aggarwal. Speaking to the reporters, Amarinder Singh said, The meeting was to discuss the preparations for the Assembly elections scheduled early next year. These are our inner party discussions and I don t propose to share them with you.
