Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], December 16 (ANI): All India Trinamool Congress leader, Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday resigned from the West Bengal Legislative Assembly tendering his resignation to the Speaker. There are speculations that Adhikari is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon.
Adhikari who had been disgruntled with the TMC had resigned from the State Cabinet last month. For several months Adhikari had been pursuing an Ekla Cholo Rey (to walk alone) and was seen attending programmes in the state which did not have party s name or symbol.

New Delhi [India], December 16 (ANI): A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a court-monitored Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged killings of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) members in West Bengal and compensation of Rs 50 lakh to their families.
The application filed by BJP spokesperson and senior lawyer Gaurav Bhatia said that issues pertain to incidents of alleged political murders of members of BJP namely Debendra Nath Roy, Sukhendu Pramanik, Saikat Bhawal, Ulen Roy, Madan Ghorai, Manish Shukla, Ganesh Roy, Bijoy Sil and Swadhin Roy in West Bengal.

All India Trinamool Congress veteran Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday submitted his resignation as an MLA from the West Bengal Assembly. Now Adhikari has written a letter to West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar, citing fear that he and his associate followers can be implicated in criminal cases out of political motivation and vendetta.
Hours after resignation, the rebel TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari held a closed-door meeting with disgruntled party leaders, including East Burdwan MP Sunil Mandal and Asansol civic body chief Jitendra Tiwari.
