6:29 p.m. - It has come to our attention that a technical issue with the online registration for the vaccination mini-clinic at the American Bank Center on Tuesday, February 2, has pre-registered more than the available 250 slots for eligible Phase 1A and 1B recipients, tweeted the city of Corpus Christi.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â A lot of folks were practicing patience as they waited to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccinations were supposed to be administered around 12 p.m. Monday but were not administered until around 3 p.m.
Administrators of the vaccine are only checking that someone has registered and not whether they are of priority status to get the vaccine, but city officials said they are using the honor system.
Nueces Country Record Star
Amistad Community Health Center, Robstown DOR-AN and Saenz Home Health Services partnered on Wednesday, Jan. 6 to distribute the Moderna coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine for Phase 1a groups in the area.
The vaccine event was held at DOR-AN s Home Health Services on Main Street in Robstown. Most participants were in and out in less than 20 minutes.
Ricardo Casares, an 84-year-old Robstown resident and health care provider, received the first round of his vaccination. This virus is so serious I encourage everyone to take this vaccine for their family and community, he said. For the people that are scared of the vaccine I would hope they would be more scared of the virus and the potential long-term effects that it might entail.
A closer look at Coastal Bend providers approved to receive the COVID-19 vaccine

The local public health district is providing a closer look at local providers who have been approved so far to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Phase one is underway with hospital systems like Christus Spohn already giving more than 800 doses of the vaccine to frontline workers in Corpus Christi since receiving their shipment on Tuesday.
Corpus Christi Medical Center reported that they too have received a shipment and plan to administer the vaccine as soon as Friday to frontline healthcare workers.
