US family sues Robinhood for wrongful death of 20 year old

San Francisco, Feb 9 : The family of 20-year-old Alex Kearns who died by suicide has now sued the stock trading app Robinhood for his wrongful death, the media reported.
Last year, Kearns died by suicide in June, as he believed he d lost $730,000, and that Robinhood was coming for more than $170,000 of that money soon.
Kearns reportedly tried to contact Robinhood s support department four times, but only got an automated message that he owned the money, reports The Verge.

FAIRFIELD, CT Community members have donated more than $100,000 over the last three days to support a Fairfield family after the death of their 17-year-old son. Kevin was battling depression and is finally at peace, the obituary said. He will be forever loved and forever remembered.

A junior at Fairfield Warde High School, Kuczo was a member of the lacrosse and football teams. He enjoyed volunteering, according to his obituary. Kevin had a beautiful smile that touched people and a big heart, the obituary said. When asked what he wanted to do in his life, he would reply that he wanted to do something that helped people.
