Caracas, Dec 21 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Government is willing to evaluate the commercial opening of its border with Colombia under strict biosecurity protocols, the protector of Tachira State, Freddy Bernal, said on Monday.
We agree on the need for the commercial opening of the border only if Colombia and Norte de Santander particularly comply with the biosecurity measures demanded by the Pan-American Health Organization (due to the Covid-19 pandemic), Bernal pointed out.
In statements to Union Radio, the political leader stated that if these conditions are met, Venezuela would be willing to study the opening and free transit of products, which would oxygenate the economy on both sides of the border line.
