With the safety of its students, their families, and the Grenadian community as its highest priority, St. George’s University held its first-ever virtual White Coat Ceremony last week formally welcoming aspiring veterinarians from its August 2020 and January 2021 incoming classes to the veterinary medical profession. The future veterinarians are on the path to join over 1,900 other graduates of SGU’s School of Veterinary Medicine. The SVM also maintains partnerships with more than 30 universities and clinical facilities in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, and Australia, where fourth-year students spend a year of clinical training at an affiliated veterinary school. Dr. Segna was a leader of the CVMA legislative team, oversaw membership services, the regulatory and compliance department, student programs, and the association websites.
