This sage advice, applicable across diverse fields and in myriad situations, hasn’t exactly been embraced by Sen. Mitch McConnell, a Republican from Kentucky. Though his title Senate minority leader might give one reason to believe that he’d look to position himself as an influencer, McConnell has often been best at standing in the way.
