Back to Healio According to recently published results, the “true cumulative incidence” of hip dislocation, including revisions and closed reductions, after primary total hip arthroplasty is 3.5%, a 50% increase compared with register-coded dislocations. A group of researchers from Denmark used the Danish Hip Arthroplasty Register to identify 31,105 primary THAs from 2010 to 2014 with at least 2 years of follow-up. Additionally, they identified dislocations and matched diagnoses with procedure codes using the Danish National Patient Register and performed multiple logistic regression analysis to analyze risk factors.
