BRYAN, Texas The Brazos County Community Vaccination Hub administered its last dose of the covid-19 vaccine six days ago and officially closed its doors. On Wednesday, the Hub recognized all who helped in a closing ceremony.
The event was a way to observe the hard work and dedication workers, volunteers and even the media put forth to make the Vaccination Hub possible.
Chief Jim Stewart of the Brazos County Vaccine Taskforce said the Hub accomplished everything and more because the community came out and offered their services.

As the summer approaches and the days get warmer, fire preparedness is very important. San Joaquin County residents are not new to wildfires, but if they were to happen, they can now be better prepared.
On Thursday, the American Red Cross Heart of The Valley Chapter will be hosting a virtual event from 6-7 p.m. with information on how to better prepare for the possibility of future local home fires, wildfires and other disasters.
The event will provide information including home fire safety checklist, home fire escape plans and earthquake safety checklist. Visual programs such as “Activate your Alarm, Save a Life” and “It’s Red Cross Ready” will be presented.
