The recent dip in air quality in the Upper Midwest due to ongoing wildfires in Canada was an important reminder to a lot of us about how much we take our fresh air for granted around these parts.
It s so nice to live in a place where clean air and water are the expectation, not the exception.

As the start of the new school year is fast approaching, it s time once again for Texas’ sales tax-free weekend this Friday - Sunday, Aug 6th - 8th during which customers will not have to pay the standard 8.25% sales tax on select school supplies, clothing, footwear and more items priced under $100.
The Texas Comptroller s office encourages all shoppers to continue practicing social distancing and to support Texas businesses while saving money on tax-free purchases of most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (sold for less than $100) during the annual Tax-Free weekend.

I went down last week to the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center to witness a Vikings Training Camp practice. It was my first time at the TCO Performance Center in Vikings Lake, so I wasn t sure what to expect. The place is massive and it s pretty cool too see all the hotels and businesses developing around it. I snapped some photos. I got to see Kirk Cousins throw a bomb to KJ Osborn. We had a chance to walk around the whole place and take in all it had to offer.

Some of it costs money, but surprisingly a lot of it is free. It s a really cool place to bring the family for a dose of summer football. SKOL Vikings, September can t come soon enough.
