What is that expression good fences make good neighbors. True that. But it is not the same everywhere, and we are noted as one of the friendly states in America.
One would think that depended on one’s actual neighbors and where you live. Friendliness seems to be dialed up a notch when you leave the cities and get out yonder.
Proving that Sunny and 75 year round is where it’s at, Hawaii is at the very top of the list of friendliest states in America. Any idea what the other end of the spectrum looks like. How about Texas. They finished last meaning they are the least friendly state. So much for “Howdy Y’All”. Digest that for a minute. New York or New Jersey is not even in the bottom 10 when it comes to least friendly. 1219. Putting glass or other injurious substances on highway prohibited. (a) No person shall throw or deposit upon any highway any glass bottle, glass, nails, tacks, wire, cans, snow or any other substance likely to injure any person, animal, or vehicle upon such highway. (b) Any person who drops, or permits to be dropped or thrown, upon any highway any destructive or injurious material or any material which interferes with the safe use of the highway shall immediately remove the same or cause it to be removed. (c) Any person removing a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a highway shall remove any glass or other injurious substance dropped upon the highway from such vehicle.

Are you getting all you can out of the taxes you pay? It’s called “Return on Investment” or ROI. A research team sat down and looked at all 50 states. With a goal of ranking the best for ROI. I expected to see Idaho in the top half. The state is 16
th nationwide. Could it be better? As a taxpayer, I certainly say yes. Please, however, keep in mind the people doing the research looked at a variety of criteria. I don’t have kids in school. Therefore, I’m not terribly concerned about academic performance. Not to say I don’t support schools but not every graduate is going to be building rockets.
