4/13/2021 1:44:01 PM Marie Katherine Johnson left to join her heavenly family April 9, 2021 at her family home in Dorsey. She was born July 17, 1931 on her families farm to Katherine and Carl Johnson. She married Leland F. Johnson, known to many as Bud , at Emmaus Lutheran Church in rural Dorsey, on January19, 1952, and they celebrated 59 years together. They had two children, Deborah Lynn Gray (Edward) of Dorsey and Kurt Lee Johnson (Vivian) of Clinton, LA. she also had two step grandchildren, Carly Reader and Blake Gray; and two sisters-in-law, Eunice Johnson and Mary Johnson. She was an active member at her church, serving in various roles as S.S. teacher, LWML member and enjoyed attending weekly Adult Bible class.

Chamber honors healthcare workers FacebookTwitterEmail MARYVILLE The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce on March 4 delivered 1,100 “Healthcare Kindness Day” bags to Anderson Hospital. “Our healthcare workers were working hard every single day but, in March of 2020, they were asked to not only work harder but put themselves at risk of COVID,” said Chamber Executive Director Dawn Mushill. “Every one of them has had a very trying 10 months and they are still dealing with so much. So we created a holiday for them.” Mushill said the idea came from a Chamber board meeting. The bags have been in progress for a couple of months. Each bag contained gift certificates, treats, a kindness jar (with over a dozen kindness sayings that they can take “as needed”), a handwritten thank you note, a scratch off ticket for a free item at a local restaurant and a flyer telling the story of Healthcare Kindness Day.

Coats donated to all students at Tendoy Elementary POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Children in the Pocatello area will be warm for the next few months. Operation Warm partnered with Mountain America Credit Union to deliver brand-new winter coats on Tuesday to every student attending Tendoy Elementary School.  Tendoy is a Title I school that provides pre-K-5 education to 225 students. Students in the district’s Online Learning Program also received a coat. It’s made my day as I’ve walked down the hall with groups of children, said Principal Janice Nelson. They could hardly contain their excitement. They don t get it very often and to have it be so beautiful and warm and just for them to be able to pick out the color has just been awesome.
