New Delhi [India], January 6 (ANI): Union Finance MinisterNirmala Sitharaman in a meeting with Secretaries of the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Wednesday reviewed the progress of the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) implementation.
The Ministry of Finance said in a release that the agenda of the meeting was to discuss the progress of NIP projects, expenditure incurred so far and the initiatives were taken to expedite the project implementation. This was the second review meeting by the Finance Minister with various Ministries & Departments to monitor and accelerate NIP project implementation, the release said.

New Delhi: In a major sign that the deadly COVID-19 pandemic is abating in India, as many as 33 states and Union Territories have less than 20,000 active cases of coronavirus, confirmed the Ministry of Health of Family Welfare on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kerala and Maharashtra continue to remain the worst-affected states together accounting for over 40 per cent of the total active cases in the country.
