Pakistan’s ICT & Telecom exports grow by 46% - ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s ICT & Telecom exports grew by 46 percent to US$ 1.70 billion during July-April 2021 as compared to US$ 1.17 billion in July April 2020, according to Prime Minister’s Adviser for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood. The adviser said that in April 2021, ICT & Telecom exports grew by 66% to US$ 196 million as compared to US$ 118 million in April 2020. Abdul Razak Dawood said that these exports now look set to breach the 2 billion mark for the first time in our history. “I commend the hard work of our ICT & Telecom exporters and assure them that the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) is at their service for any facilitation they need,” he said.

Food Scanner Installed at Karachi Airport to Evaluate Quality of Export Items In order to evaluate the quality of export shipments of fruits, vegetables, and other perishable food items, the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have decided to install a state-of-the-art high-capacity scanner at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The development is in line with the Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association’s (PFVA) Horticulture Vision 2030 which calls for automated and expeditious evaluation of the quality of export shipments at airports in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Multan. ALSO READ A special shed to store and protect all export shipments from ill-effects of the weather will also be constructed at Jinnah International Airport along with the installation of the scanner.
