India, Australia, Japan, and the US held their third Quad ministerial meeting on February 18 to discuss ways to enhance cooperation for maintaining a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific in the face of China’s growing aggression in the region. This was the third meeting of Quad Foreign Ministers, after September 2019 and October 2020, since the mechanism at the level of officials was revived in 2017. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar participated in the virtual meeting along with his counterparts from the US, Japan and Australia. This was the first such meeting of Quad member countries after the Joe Biden administration took charge in Washington.

Tokyo [Japan], February 19 (ANI): Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Thursday confirmed the importance of promoting the vision of a Free & Open Indo-Pacific together with more countries for the realisation of the vision on the lines of 3rd Quad foreign ministers meeting, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in a press release.
Toshimitsu Motegi along with his counterparts Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken participated in the third India-Australia-Japan-USA Quad Ministerial Meeting on Thursday.

Japan House Los Angeles is unveiling its new exhibition highlighting some of Japan’s finest woodblock artists.
Japan House Los Angeles, a Japanese cultural destination in the heart of Hollywood, unveils the launch of its newest exhibition: “Nature/Supernature: Visions of This World and Beyond in Japanese Woodblock Prints.”
Highlighting Japan’s iconic natural landscapes and supernatural beings believed to inhabit them, the exhibition features more than 60 woodblock prints from the coveted Scripps College collection by some of Japan’s finest artists.
