Swimming spots like Gullet Quarry and Shavers End have seen injuries and even deaths in recent years. Because of this, the Malvern Hills Trust and West Mercia Police are warning people to stay away. Police officers have been carrying out regular patrols around Gullet Quarry over the last few days having turned away large groups of revellers during a similar heatwave last summer. Earlier this month, they turned away two men who had been jumping into the water. A tweet from Malvern Cops said: Two males swimming in #gulletquarry this afternoon, big splashes from jumping in were big giveaways. Knew they shouldn t have been in the water, it was too tempting not to go in.
