Ministry of Local Government has ordered Lilongwe City Council (LCC) to demolish the sculpture statue at parliament roundabout saying it adds no value to the beauty of Lilongwe city.
Speaking on Monday during a visit of projects being carried out by LCC, Deputy Minister of Local Government, Harima Daudi said the sculpture statue at parliament roundabout is of substandard quality hence it needs to be removed.
âThe statue which was set at the roundabout near parliament building is not good and has got no use and on top of that it is there not to make the Lilongwe city beautiful, hence as a Ministry, we have advised the Mayor of Lilongwe city and other officials from Lilongwe City Council to demolish the it,â Daudi said.
