Queen Elizabeth’s husband was 99 years old.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband and confidant of the UKâs Queen Elizabeth II since 1947, has died. He was 99.
The prince âpassed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle,â according to an emailed statement Friday from the Queenâs officials.

Prince Philip, the Original Royal Outsider, Has Died at 99
Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth for 73 years, has died at the age of 99. He passed away this morning at Windsor Castle having struggled with various health issues in recent years. He was last seen in public in July 2020, when he and the Queen attended the private wedding of his granddaughter
A statement from Royal Communications on Friday morning read: It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course .

New Delhi: Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on Friday (April 9).
He was aged 99 and was to mark his 100th birthday on June 10.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” the royal family said in a statement released on Twitter.
Prince Philip – A loving husband
Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth had been married for 73 years. They were married in 1947. The Duke of Edinburgh remained by his wife’s side throughout her 69-year reign. It was the longest reign in British history.

In a statement issued by Buckingham Palace the Royal Family said: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
The Duke is survived by Queen Elizabeth II and their children Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. He had eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was admitted to hospital on 17 February after falling ill at Windsor Castle where he and the Queen had been living during the Covid-19 pandemic.
