ABU DHABI, 12th August, 2021 (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria, over the civilian and military victims of the fires that erupted in several provinces in Algeria.
This came during a phone call made by His Highness last night with the Algerian President. Sheikh Mohamed also expressed his condolences to the brotherly Algerian people.
Dozens of fires began devouring forested mountainsides in the Berber region of Kabyle, east of Algiers, the capital, on Monday, destroying homes, olive tree orchards and animals that provide a livelihood for the region.

ABU DHABI, 12th August, 2021 (WAM) The UAE continues to provide aid to those affected by wildfires in Greece and to enhance protection for civilians and provide their necessary needs.
The UAE, through its humanitarian arm the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), this morning dispatched for the Greek capital, Athens, the second aircraft loaded with food, medical supplies, children’s food supplements and firefighting materials, such as firefighting clothing, pumps, water hoses and relevant accessories.
The UAE also assisted the efforts aimed at suppressing the fires,.
