The Rev. Roland Millien
Spring is the time when most people are getting ready for all the excitements that summer will bring.
Some are busy making plan for vacation, camping, hiking. Others are more concerned about home repairs such as the roof, which is one of, if not the most important parts of the house; the foundation, depending on where the house is built; and siding or painting for the complete makeover.
When looking at a house that just had these types of repairs done, you would think that you are looking at a brand-new house. Keep in mind those repairs are part of preventive maintenance. Therefore, there really is no escaping it. If you own a house, repair issues will always pop up. So, there isn’t an I’ve done once and for all. At best, a contractor would give 20 years guarantee on the roof. And the best paint on the market lasts five years. At some point, the process would start all over again.
